Our Approach
Our primary role as a therapist is to listen to you and to help you to articulate your experiences and explore situations and feelings in a non-judgemental way in a safe and confidential setting.
Many people recognise how it can be difficult talking to someone we know about our innermost fears and problems. It doesn’t always feel safe to do this and it can feel like we have no one to turn to. This can be quite isolating and can exacerbate our difficulties. Therapy offers an opportunity for a different kind of relationship, one which explores objectively and empathically what is going on in your life and provides an opportunity for change. We believe that the client who is willing to change and is actively engaged in making that change will do so.The therapist’s role is to be an active participant in the therapeutic relationship. We see therapy as a collaborative enterprise where we work together as a team. |

The counselling/therapy takes place at 29 White Friars Chester. The premises are self contained and are only used for therapy/counselling purposes. Therapy rooms are comfortable and the emphasis is on providing a welcoming and safe environment where people feel at ease to explore issues at their own pace. We take our role very seriously and regard protection and confidentiality as a priority.
